Samsung J7 Reset Method


There is Little difference in the Android version of  6.0 and 7.1, If you have a J7 which android version is 6.0 then Follow this method

Android 6.0
  1. Back up your all data
  2. Remove your Google account on the device
  3. Go to Settings
  4. Tap Backup and reset.
  5. Tap Factory data reset.
  6. Tap Reset device.
  7. Now it asks password or PIN
  8. Enter your password or PIN
  9. Tap Continue.
  10. Tap Delete all.
  11. Wait for completion.


Android 7.1

  1. Back up all your data
  2. Remove your Google account on the device
  3. Go to Settings
  4. Now tap Cloud and accounts.
  5. Tap Backup and reset.
  6. Tap Reset
  7. Tap Factory data reset.
  8. Tap Reset.
  9. Now it asks password or PIN.
  10. Enter your password or PIN.
  11. Tap Continue.
  12. Tap Delete all. 

Hard reset with hardware keys
A Hard reset will delete all your device data you stored, like pictures, personal data, downloads, ringtones, images, apps, contacts, etc etc.
And restores your phone's settings to default as a new phone
  1. Back up all your data
  2. Remove your Google account on the device
  3. Turn off the device.
  4. Press and hold the Volume Up key & Home key together,

  1. Now press and hold the Power key.
  2. When you see the logo on screen release the Power key.
  3. When the Android logo displays, release all keys



  1. Now use Volume down key to highlight "wipe data factory reset"
  2. Press the Power button to select.
  3. Press Volume down key to highlight "Yes -- delete all user data"
  4. Press the Power button.
  5. Wait for Some time
  6. Press the Power key to restart the device.
